Wilfried Bony is this year's striking sensation in the Premier League. The Ivorian is having another great season with mid-table Swansea City, having bagged nine goals, and in fact finished 2014 as the top scorer in the division for the calendar year.
The striker's sublime performances for the Welsh side have not gone unnoticed by the big guns in the Premiership, including Manchester United and Chelsea. However, according to the Daily Mail, Real Madrid are the club with the best chance of snapping up Bony.
One of the reasons why Real may be interested in signing the marksman, who is known for his power, pace and finishing ability, could be to fill the space left by Javier 'Chicharito' Hernández in June when his loan deal expires. The Mexican will almost certainly return to Manchester, given that the Spanish club are unlikely to execute their purchase option in light of his poor performances.
Bony, rated at just over €15 million, formed part of the Ivory Coast squad at the 2014 World Cup. He started out his career at Issia Wazi and played for Sparta Prague and Vitesse Arnhem before moving to Swansea.
